With Mother's Day fast approaching, a story about a mother's love is only suitable.
This lady just put every excuse about not being able to have kids to shame.
‘I’m too old.’
‘I’m not married’
‘I physically can’t.’
Although it its completely okay if you don't actually want to have children, Lacey Dunkin just knew that wasn’t her, she wanted to be a mother. Even when she realised and accepted that marriage was possibly not part of her future. “I knew that if I wasn’t a mum, I would regret it my whole life,” she said.
Lacey’s mother suggested fostering a child, which Lacey thought was a great idea.
A few years after seriously looking into fostering, Lacey has a home full of six young sisters, Sophia (10), Natalie and Melanie (8, twins), Kaylee (7), Lea (5), and Cecily (3).
She initially didn't foster all the girls but due to an emergency she was called to take care of the other sisters. Before the social worker even finished the request, Lacy quickly interrupted her and said ‘yes’. She strongly believed in keeping them all together.
The love of a mother, reciprocated by her six loving girls, makes for one happy family and an amazing heartwarming story.
