Generosity is Key: Man raises money for himself but ultimately, gives to a kid suffering from Cerebral Palsy.
Twenty-six-year-old Daniel Black broke his neck during a
severe cycling accident in 2009. This left him completely paralysed. Daniel
Black was determined to get out of his wheel chair and decided to raise money
for himself to receive the operation required to get him to potentially walk
and move again. However, after hearing about six-year-old Brecon Vaughan, who
suffered from cerebral palsy, Daniel selflessly handed over the $28,562 he had
raised so the boy could receive ground-breaking surgery that would give Brecon the
chance to walk again. As a result of this extremely generous offer, Daniel,
received a Daily Mirror Pride of Britain award. He stated, “for me, things are
not getting better soon. I wanted to help someone whose life could get better.”
